Anchors Aweigh!

We just received a large order from the United States Navy for Grover custom snare drums and bass drums. We manufactured similar ceremonial drums a few years back for the Army band (see photo). When the Navy percussionists heard and saw the Army drums, they knew immediately that they had to have a set. These custom drums receive a special shell coating inside and out, so that the drum is completely sealed from the weather. The drums are used outside for ceremonies and the Navy percussionists can be assured that the drums will perform optimally regardless of the weather conditions.

From The Jungle To Symphony Hall!

We're thrilled to announce that the new Grover Pro Log Drums have been released! Our R&D team took extra time to insure that our log drums meet the very high expectations of professional percussionists worldwide. We believe that professional log drums should have a darker and more resonant sonority than woodblocks or temple blocks. While maple is perfect for our woodblocks, and Baltic birch ideal for our temple blocks, we thoughtfully selected marimba bar grade padauk wood for the soundboard of our new log drums. Padauk is a much more resonant wood species than either maple or birch. This is evident in the sound of our new padauk log drums, which is markedly more resonant and darker than other log...
