I recently returned from a wonderful trip to South Carolina where I presented masterclasses for The Governor's School, Clemson University and Furman University. I was hosted by Everett Beale, Dr. Paul Byer and Dr. Omar Carmenates respectively. I have to say that I was very impressed with the quality and high level of skill that the students shared with me.
While my presentation focused on tambourine & triangle, it also included an in depth discussion about sound and the elements of sonority. From the feedback I received I know that the these percussion "stars of tomorrow" learned quite a bit, plus, they had fun doing so!
