Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra Visitors

Jakob Weber, Neil Grover, and Gert Sorenson Danish percussionists Gert Sorenson and Jakob Weber were in town picking out cymbals at the Zildjian factory and stopped by to visit us. They picked out a great selection of range of our products including numerous tambourines and triangles. Both perform with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra at Copenhagen Concert Hall.

A Visitor From Sweden

While coming through Boston, Swedish percussionist Markku Reinikaninen stopped by to visit us. Markku specifically was interested in picking up a couple of tambourines that he could use in his studio recording sessions. While he already had a few Grovers, Markku was very interested in obtaining one of our Studio Pro headless models. Markku ended up with two new tambourines, model T2/GsPh-H, a headless German Silver / Phosphor Bronze combo, and, one of our T2/HS Hybrid Silver headed models. Tack för besöket Markku!

Endorser Dr. Jason Baker To Present Snare Drum Clinic

On October 22nd, Jason Baker will present a snare drum clinic at Sam Houston University.  Jason serves as Director of Percussion Studies and Assistant Professor of Music at Mississippi State University. An active performer, Jason is a member of the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra (principal timpanist), Starkville Symphony Orchestra (principal percussionist), State Messengers faculty jazz combo, and the Bain Percussion Group. He has also performed with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the Meridian (MS) Symphony Orchestra. Also a frequent solo performer and clinician, Jason has performed at several Percussive Arts Society International Conventions, the College Music Society National and Southern Regional Conferences, Mississippi Bandmasters Association Convention, the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, and universities throughout the country.
