Dr. Joseph Spearman

Lecturer of Music - Fayetteville State University Dr. Joseph Spearman is a percussionist and music educator based out of Carrboro, North Carolina. He currently serves as a Lecturer of Music at Fayetteville State University, where he teaches percussion, music theory, and music history. He previously served as Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. Joseph is a member of the Jazz Education Network and Percussive Arts Society, serving on the Percussion Ensemble Committee. He is versed in multiple percussion disciplines, including classical and commercial styles, steel pan, and hand drums from various folkloric musics. Kyle Peters

Percussion Instructor - Eastman Community Music School Kyle Peters is the percussion instructor at the Eastman Community Music School, adjunct percussion professor at Roberts Wesleyan College, and member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He received his Master’s of Music in Performance and Literature, as well as the prestigious Performer’s Certificate, from the Eastman School of Music and his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.  At the Eastman Community Music School, Kyle runs a studio averaging 30 students each year and is the director of three percussion ensembles. Director of Percussion Studies - James Madison University Percussionist & Composer, Casey Cangelosi is the Director of Percussion Studies at James Madison University. As a visiting guest-artist, he is commonly hosted world-wide by educational institutions, music festivals, and educational music seminars. Oscar Salazar

Timpanist - Queretaro State Philharmonic Orchestra Oscar Salazar was appointed to the percussion section of the Queretaro State Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000, and in 2002 was promoted to position of Timpanist. Mr. Salazar received his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the Mexico State Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with an Honorable Mention.
