Casey Cangelosi Joins Artist Roster

We're thrilled to announce that percussionist/composer Casey Cangelosi has joined the esteemned roster of Grover Pro artists! Casey Cangelosi is a rising composer and percussionist in the contemporary music world. Casey has been called "the Paganini of percussion”, his technique deemed, “ridiculous… he has a stunning command of the marimba”, his compositions hailed as, “imposing and exhilarating”, and by the Classical Marimba League, “A marimbist of magisterial power, and insight”. Cangelosi has appeared as a performer and clinician at some of today’s most recognized festivals including the PiteÃ¥ Percussion Repertoire Festival in PiteÃ¥, Sweden; the 2010 International Marimba Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and the 2011 Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Appleton, Wisconsin. Motown Goes Grover

Most percussionists think of our tambourines as strictly "concert" or "symphonic" tambourines. That is because Grover tambourines are used by more top concert percussionists than any other! The fact is that since 1980 our tambourines have also been used on countless blockbuster soundtracks & Grammy award winning records... Here's a clip featuring Motwons legendary "Funk Bros". As can been seen in this video clip, Percussionist Jack Ashford plays our tambourines in a style all his own! jack's driving tambourine playing can be heard on virtually every Motown hit of the 60's-70's. Ironically, I played for many years with Gladys Knight & The Pips, whose version of "Grapevine" was a Motown hit in 1967.

Berklee Visits Grover Pro

Berklee College Of Music Professor, Dean Anderson, and a few of his students took time out from the end of the school semester to visit the Grover Pro factory. The group was given a personalized tour of our facility and joined the Grover Pro staff for a quick lunch. Dean Anderson, who has been a Grover Pro endorser for over 30 years, is one of Boston's premier percussionists. In fact, Dean was the second person in the world to own a Grover Pro Super-Overtone triangle. The year was 1980!

New Haven Percussionists Play Grover

Our percussion products are used in hundreds of top orchestras, ensembles, Broadway shows, and in many of today's Hollywood's blockbuster film scores. It's always nice to hear from percussionists who use our gear in the field! Recently, we heard from the New Haven Symphony percussion section, who told us that they perform on an extensive array of Grover Pro Percussion mallets, tambourines, triangles, woodblocks, log drums, snare drums, etc. We received this from Dave Edricks, "I have been using Grover products for over 25 years.
