Zac Pulak In Residence At Southern Methodist University

Canadian percussionist Zac Pulak will be in residence at the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts from February 11-18, 2018. While there Zac will be presenting a solo recital that will include a new work by SMU composition faculty member Kevin Hanlon as well as a guest lecture on arts entrepreneurship. Hailing from Winipeg, Zac studied at the University of Ottawa and has worked with The National Arts Centre, Ottawa International Chamberfest, Banff Centre, and the Scotia Festival. Lancaster Symphony To Premier Work By Sean Kennedy

  Percussionist/composer Sean Kennedy's composition, "KākÅ«, kÅ«pala | Fear in Neutral Buoyancy", will be premiered on February 17, 2018. Featuring percussion, the work will be performed by the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra.  Sean is a multi-faceted musician, equally accomplished on the stage, in the recording studio, and in the classroom.  He has performed on drumset and percussion with Il Volo, The Philly POPS! Orchestra, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Jacksonville Symphony, The Strauss Symphony of America, The Allentown Band, The Allentown Symphony Orchestra, The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra and is principal drumset player with the Cape May Pops and the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale.  He is also the author of numerous drumset, percussion and improv books.  Jazz legend Dave Brubeck stated...

McCormick Percussion Group Releases New CD!

Our good friend Bob McCormick and his percussion group have released "KID STUFF" a CD of music for percussion and piano.  Works by John Liberatore, Seunghee Lee, Hilary Tann & Ciro Scotto are expertly played by Bob and his band of fine percussionists. John Lane wrote, "Robert McCormick is a force of nature. Thank you for seeking out innovative composers and the continued effort to provide the percussion community with valuable and contributive recordings". GROVER PRO'S PASIC SMASH!

We've just returned from our biggest and busiest PASIC show ever...GPP practically took over the aisle with our world-class percussion products!  Many new items were featured, including the Grover Pro Miller Machine, which was the talk of the convention. Inventor Billy Miller was on hand to chat with percussionists looking for the perfect triangle trigger. Our new Percussion Workstation was a huge hit, and, our new suite of percussion accessories caused quite a stir... Our exhibit included four models of Vancore marimbas, which created quite a buzz (figuratively speaking). The competition took notice of the strong value proposition of the Vancore brand. Aaron Ragsdale Visits Factory

Endorsing Artist Aaron Ragsdale stopped by today to say hello and pick out one of our Bronze Hammered Lite Triangles & a Bantamweight Heat-Treated Silver Bronze Tambourine.  He is in town performing and will be presenting masterclasses at both the New England Conservatory & the University of Massachusetts. Currently on the faculty of the South Dakota State University, Aaron is based in Brookings, SD, where he maintains his studio. Aaron is an active performer and has been responsible for the commission and premiere of several important works for percussion.
