When I was a young percussion student I was eager to gobble up music, records, catalogs... anything related to percussion! One of the recording groups I liked was the Percussion Pops Orchestra, and one of their members was Jim Sewrey. Not only is Jim is a percussive pioneer, but, he is a scholar, author, educator and real gentleman. He is one of the giants responsible for the success of many who followed in his footsteps, like me... Although a little late, I want to wish Jim a happy, healthy 90th birthday!
