Tommy will then head to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to give an Accessory Percussion Clinic (Tambourine, Triangle, and Crash Cymbals) for Dave Hall's Percussion Studio on Saturday, March 11th, at 2pm. We have just received the endorsement of Jeremy Branson, Associate Principal Percussionist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his appointment in the Pittsburgh Symphony, Branson was a member of the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida, under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. During that time he also played regularly with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Last week I had the pleasure of participating as a clinician and adjudicator for The 13th High School Percussion Ensemble festival held at Ohio State University. Hosted by Dr. Susan Powell and the OSU Percussion Studio, over one hundred young percussionists had the opportunity to perform, attend masterclasses, and work with top professionals like the fantastic Chris Norton and me. Not only did the young students perform, but, the OSU faculty, alumni and OSU ensemble also contributed top tier musical performances to the festival.
