Santa Fe Opera percussionist Gregg Koyle took time out of his visit to Boston and stopped by our shop. In addition to his work with the Santa Fe Opera, Gregg is the Principal Timpanist and Personnel Manager of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. Gregg asked specifically to hear our wide range of tambourines; he was especially interested in our Bantamweight models. Our friend and endorser Taku recently performed on percussion at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, honoring Eddie Murphy. He was in the house band alongside Shawn Pelton (SNL) on drums and Hagar Ben Ari (The Late Late Show with James Corden) on bass, backing up guests including Dave Chappelle, Arsenio Hall, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Trevor Noah, Jay Pharoah, Joe Piscopo, Kathy Griffin, Kevin Nealon, and Chris Rock. Taku also performed with soul legend Sam Moore and Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes. The show will air on PBS on Monday, November 23rd (9PM ET).
