Last Friday night I played a concert at Tanglewood with the Boston Pops. The featured artist was Sheryl Crow. Did you know that Sheryl is a former music educator and was a composition major in college? I had the opportunity to present Sheryl with one of our Studio Pro tambourines. Berklee College of Music percussion student Grace Herzog visited us today. Grace is a talented, creative percussionist who also builds instruments! I first met her when I gave a speech to the Berklee student orchestra a few weeks back. Today, Grace brought her "CLAY MARIMBA" to show us. I was very impressed. The intonation was good and the sound ethereal. When I laid down a lick from the Beatle's "Day Tripper" it caught everyone's attention...!
