Hybrid Artist Visits Grover Pro

Greg Jukes visited our facility today to check out some of our newest products. Greg recently moved to Boston with his trio, The Fourth Wall Ensemble, from Indianapolis. The Fourth Wall is a self described "Hybrid Arts" ensemble, mixing theater, music and more. Check out this video of Onomatopoeia by Ramon Castillo. It is a clever work that incorporates percussive sounds and the human voice in an unusual way.

New KeeGee 3x14 Piccolo Snare Drum

One of the most talked about products at PASIC was our new 3X14 piccolo snare drum. Named "KeeGee" after a famous orchestral work that contains a very soft and challenging snare drum part, this drum symbolizes the epitome of sensitivity and articulation! Used by St. Louis Principal Percussionist Will James in his PASIC '14 presentation, this thin snare drum allows the player to execute the most delicate passages with finesse and grace. What surprised everyone was it's powerful bark at the loud dynamic levels!

PASIC '14 - A Smash!

Chalk up another great PASIC success for us! During the three days in Indy many percussive celebrities came to see us; Alan Abel, John Beck, Bob Becker, Rob Knopper, Arnie Lang, Mike Rosen, Gordon Stout, Casey Cangelosi and Bill Moersch, all stopped by the booth. Dame Evelyn Glennie came to thank us for her musical anvils. She raved about their sound, sustain and projection. The Cleveland Orchestra's Rich Weiner flipped when he heard our Bantamweight tambourines. "Perfect for soft playing", was his comment. Jason Aldean's drummer, Rich Redmond, asked for one of our new Studio Pro model tambourines. He said that they are used on many of Nashville's top records these days!
